Over the past month more than 10,000 people have voted for ‘America’s Favorite Log Homes 2017’.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote, and to the fantastic log home companies all of which have built incredible Log Homes throughout America.
Log Cabin Hub readers helped us shortlist 42 of the most beautiful log homes from thousands of possibilities by nominating their favorites…
…But we couldn’t leave it there.
We then opened the competition up to the public, to narrow the Log Homes down to the top ten.
You were unanimous in which homes should be crowned America’s Favorite Log Homes 2017, so without further ado, let’s announce the winners!
The Cambridge – Honest Abe
Honest Abe have been in business since 1979, and over the years have turned from a simple log home manufacturer founded by Doug Smith, to a huge company which still manages to emphasize trust and family.
This 2,820 square foot log home features an open dining room and kitchen, and a double-opening fireplace that opens into the dining room and the great room.
The downstairs living space is extended by a wrap-around porch with an opening onto a patio area complete with a wood-burning fireplace.
This beautiful three-bedroom log home incorporates both log and timber frame elements and boasts high vaulted ceilings.
A perfect example of the high vaulted ceiling can be seen from the staircase landing, which doubles as a room in itself with a second story fireplace.
The Fair Oaks – Appalachian Log Structures
Appalachian Log Structures have been manufacturing log homes for almost 40 years.
Their most popular log home is The Fair Oaks.
A sophisticated yet functional, 1 ½ story log home that offers plenty of natural light through the three gable windows and high vaulted ceiling.
The open plan living space is spread out over 2084 square feet and has a lot of deck space surrounding the home.
The Brooks Camp – Lok-n-Logs
Lok-n-Logs have been manufacturing kit build log home for over 40 years.
The Brooks Camp may be small but that is part of the appeal, and what it lacks in size, it makes up for in landscape and rustic feel.
The downstairs is completely open plan, with the living room, kitchen, and dining area all coming perfectly together to offer a cozy and inviting interior.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a walk out balcony to enjoy the views.
Teton Springs Residence – PrecisionCraft
PrecisionCraft was established in 1990 and has grown over the last 2 decades into a premier custom log home manufacturer.
They help design and build log homes from start to finish.
With the beautiful Teton Range Mountains in the background, it’s hard not to love the setting of Teton Springs Residence.
The huge 5,284 square foot log home was inspired by the Woodhaven floor plan
Custom Jocassee V – Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge Log Cabins was founded in 1992.
They can produce as many as 15 custom log homes per week from their state-of-the-art 110,000 square foot production facility in South Carolina.
The Jocassee series is designed with family in mind, with huge glass windows and plenty of decking surrounding the log home.
This Custom Jocassee V is 3,414 square foot and both blends in with and enhances the surrounding environment.
Silver Ranch – Coventry Log Homes
Celebrating over 20 years in the log home industry, Coventry Log Homes was named after the founder’s home town.
Coventry Log Homes offer factory direct log homes which they believe offers a better experience for customers because it cuts out the dealer and the middle man.
The Log Home which was nominated from Coventry Log Homes is The Silver Ranch which is a 1,812 square foot log home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a loft space.
The home prides itself with convenient access, it has 6 doorways that lead to the outside, an outside living space with open decks and convenient garage access and porches.
Newburn – Southland Log Homes
Southland Log Homes built their first log home in the mountains of Carolina in 1978.
Not only does this company pride itself on providing customers with quality products and service, but they also provide support in finding land, and working with lenders and builders.
They have the largest network of models in the US.
The Newburn is a 2,318 square foot log home spread out over two floors.
It has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open plan kitchen and dining space.
The master bedroom is on the first floor, and the other two bedrooms are on the second floor.
Modified Mountain King – Conestoga Log Cabins
Conestoga Log Cabins offer durable and affordable log cabin kits for customers to assemble themselves.
They have over 3,000 structures across 50 states and in 7 foreign countries.
The original Mountain King design was modified by a customer with the help of Conestoga Log Cabins.
The original uses the space under the loft as a bedroom; however this version uses it to house a large spacious and deluxe kitchen.
Chesapeake Design – Timberhaven Log Homes
‘Your Dream … Our Passion’ is both the vision and the foundation of Timberhaven Log Homes.
They have an employee average of 22 years’ worth of experience in creating quality kiln-dried log homes.
The Chesapeake II is a 2,769 square foot log home that provides a unique blend of traditional with contemporary elements.
Complete with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a two car garage, this home has plenty of storage and an abundance of outdoor deck space.
Country’s Best – Golden Eagle Log Homes
Golden Eagle Log Homes is a family business which was grown from a building supply company, the ‘Golden Eagle Building Center’ set up in 1966.
After the Parmeter family built their own log home, they were then approached by many people who were impressed by the craftsmanship of their home – in 1986, Gold Eagle Log Homes was founded.
The Country’s Best 3361AL has plenty of outdoor porches and decks to enjoy the outside.
The first floor has an open plan kitchen and dining area, with a small breakfast nook off to the side.
The beams and logs throughout are all unique and beautiful, some complete with interesting carvings.
The home also has its own theatre room with huge comfy chairs.
