The Butt and Pass Log Cabin Method
The butt and pass corner is one of many construction methods to join your log cabin corners.
This method for building log cabins is the easiest and quickest construction method available.
It removes any need for notching logs to fit them together at the corners. Instead, this technique requires a lot of brute strength and rebar, or anything else that is sturdy enough to pin logs together.
The butt and pass method is a controversial one amongst the log cabin world, because it removes all the skill and craftsmanship of the original and well-built cabins that were brought to America almost 400 years ago.
Despite this, it is a technique that is widely advocated for and used, and it can produce a very beautiful-looking log home.
